Stipa

The short-growing tufts give no clue to how spectacular this plant will be. In late spring 2.5m tall wands of oat-like rockets shoot up and spend the summer dancing and delighting in every breeze and every ray of evening sunshine. Plant in a sunny spot, lay back and marvel.

Elegant grass that starts the year as tight jade-green clumps and which by the autumn is a light, airy beige candyfloss.
