Sinningia

This has been the star plant in the nursery this year. Karen Smith had originally bought it as a salvia, which it clearly wasn't. The velvety gray foliage forms a mound and sits there until midsummer when it starts to send up thin, tall stems topped with downward-facing white trumpets. It’s a handsome and gracful plant that in the evening has a delicious scent. What more could anyone ask for. 30cm tall.
