Gladiolus

Perfumed cream flowers. Need a protected sunny site or grow in pots and keep in a cold greenhouse through the winter. 40cm.

Unusual olive-green bells flushed with purple in July and August.

Tough and hardy on well frained soils, this soon produces clumps of pure white flowers about 45cm tall.

Short stems and large red trumpets - looks nothing like a gladiolus. Reputed to be very hardy but since its so short - 25cm - we grow ours in pots.
